Privacy Policy - ED CELL Application

This Privacy Policy applies to the ED CELL mobile application (“Application”), developed by Jagadish Prasad Pattanaik (“Developer” or “Service Provider”), and provided as a free service for the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED CELL) under the Odisha University of Technology and Research (“OUTR” or “University”).
1. Overview
The Application is offered “AS IS” for use by students and staff of OUTR’s ED CELL. The Developer does not have access to, collect, store, or process any personal data of users. All data processing, management, and usage are conducted solely by ED CELL and its authorized personnel. The Developer is not responsible for, nor has any involvement in, ED CELL or the University’s data handling practices or actions.
2. Information Collection and Use
The Application may collect technical information such as device IP address, usage statistics, and device operating system details for operational and analytical purposes. Any personally identifiable information (such as name, email, student details, or academic information) is collected and processed exclusively by ED CELL. The Developer does not have access to, or store, any user data or personally identifiable information.

The Application may use third-party services such as Google Play Services and Google Analytics for Firebase. These services have their own privacy policies regarding the handling of user data. Users are encouraged to review these policies:

All user data is managed and controlled by ED CELL. The Developer does not access or process any data after delivery of the Application. The Developer bears no responsibility for data leaks, security breaches, or unauthorized activity arising from ED CELL’s management of the Application, including but not limited to admin dashboards, APIs, databases, or server configurations.
5. Opt-Out Rights
You may stop all information collection by uninstalling the Application using standard device or app store procedures.
6. Data Retention
All data retention and deletion policies are managed by ED CELL. Users seeking to delete their data should contact ED CELL directly at cetbecell@gmail.com.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Application is not intended for children under the age of 13. ED CELL does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact ED CELL for prompt removal.
8. Security
ED CELL is responsible for implementing appropriate security measures to protect user data. The Developer is not involved in the ongoing security management of the Application.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
ED CELL may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Users are advised to review this page regularly for any changes. Continued use of the Application constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
